These Terms & Conditions explain the agreement between BookReady and its clients.

By engaging BookReady's services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

My goal is to provide a professional, transparent and enjoyable publishing experience built on clear communication and mutual respect.

BookReady Services

BookReady provides professional book preparation services for independent authors.

Services may include:

  • Book formatting

  • Children's book layout

  • Illustration services (where applicable)

  • Publication-ready file preparation

  • Publishing guidance

  • Other publishing-related services as agreed

Each project is individually quoted before work begins.

Quotations

All quotations are fixed-price unless otherwise stated.

Your quotation will clearly outline:

  • The services included

  • The total project fee

  • Estimated completion timeframe

  • Any additional services requested

Any work requested outside the agreed quotation may require a separate quotation.

Commencement of Work

Work will begin once the quotation has been accepted and any required payment has been received.

Estimated completion dates are provided in good faith but may vary depending on project complexity, client response times or unforeseen circumstances.

Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing:

  • Accurate manuscript content

  • Any required illustrations (where applicable)

  • Copyright permissions for any material supplied

  • Timely responses to requests for information

  • Careful review of proofs before final approval

Delays in providing information may affect completion timeframes.

Proof Approval

Before final files are delivered, clients will be asked to carefully review and approve their project.

Final approval confirms that the client accepts responsibility for the accuracy of:

  • Text

  • Spelling

  • Grammar

  • Layout

  • Names

  • Dates

  • Illustrations supplied by the client

  • Any other content included in the publication

Once final approval has been given, any further changes may incur additional charges.

Revisions

The number of revision rounds included in your project will be clearly stated in your quotation and will depend on the service or package selected.

A revision round allows you to review the work and request any reasonable changes before the next version is prepared.

Requests that significantly change the original manuscript, project brief, design direction or scope of work, or requests for additional revision rounds, may incur additional charges. Any additional costs will always be discussed and approved before further work is undertaken.

Copyright

The client retains ownership of their original manuscript and any material they provide.

BookReady retains ownership of any original templates, workflows, branding materials and internal production systems used to prepare the project.

Where BookReady creates original illustrations, the ownership and usage rights will be outlined in the project quotation.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts and project information are treated as confidential.

BookReady will not share your work with others without your permission unless required by law.

Payments

Payment terms will be outlined in your quotation.

Final publication-ready files will normally be delivered after payment has been received in full unless otherwise agreed.

Refunds

Because BookReady provides personalised professional services, refunds cannot normally be provided once work has commenced.

If a project cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond either party's control, BookReady will work with the client to reach a fair and reasonable outcome.

Priority Projects

Where available, clients may request a Priority Project service.

Acceptance of a Priority Project depends upon current workload and availability.

A Priority Project fee may apply.

Priority Projects receive scheduling priority but do not alter BookReady's commitment to quality.

Limitation of Liability

While every reasonable effort is made to prepare professional publication-ready files, BookReady cannot guarantee publication, sales or commercial success.

BookReady is not responsible for decisions made by third-party publishing platforms or printing providers.

Information provided on the BookReady website is intended as general guidance.

While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, information may change without notice.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.
